The Weather Company has earned two 2013 Advertiser Perceptions awards:
The Weather Channel is the recipient of the 2013 Advertiser Perceptions Highest Rated Media Brand (HRMB) recognition for Sales Knowledge in Mobile.
weather.com is the recipient of the 2013 Advertiser Perceptions HRMB recognition for Advertiser Satisfaction in the Digital Content category.
Awards were determined based on what advertisers think regarding brand perceptions and overall satisfaction. Every spring and fall, Advertiser Perceptions surveys thousands of advertisers in the United States to gather their opinions and perceptions of the media brands they are considering for advertising in the coming six months. This survey, called The Advertiser Intelligence Reports (AIR), provides the information that forms the basis for metrics used to gauge media brand performance. As a result, based on the average of two AIR waves (Spring 2013 and Fall 2013), Advertiser Perceptions designates the media brands and companies with the highest consideration and specific insight-metric ratings as the Highest Rated Media Brands for 2013.
“Over the past few years, we have reinvented our ad sales team and our offerings in the marketplace,” said Curt Hecht, chief global revenue officer for The Weather Company. “We brought storytelling into the mix, big data and technology through our new WeatherFX division, new ad tech and created strong native ad formats to market to meet our clients’ needs. We are redefining what it means to be partners to our clients and really offering a consultative and solution-oriented approach.”
Weather has been recognized several years in a row by Advertiser Perceptions. The Weather Channel cable ad sales team was named the 2012 Top Brand in Customer Satisfaction, TV, and The Weather Company (previously known as The Weather Channel Companies) received the 2011 Advertiser Perceptions HRMB award in the Advertiser Satisfaction / Mobile category.
