The Weather Company announced today that Sarah Ripmaster has joined the advertising sales organization as vice president of automotive sales.
In this role, Ripmaster is responsible for overseeing revenue development in the automotive category and driving the sales strategy for the vertical. She is based in Weather’s Chicago office and reports to DJ Reali, senior vice president of national advertising sales.
“We are thrilled to have Sarah join Weather’s sales organization,” said Reali. “Sarah’s strong background in automotive sales and prior cross-vertical experience with blue-chip marketers makes her well poised to lead our automotive sales team to success.”
Ripmaster was most recently a consultant at Annalect (part of Omnicom Media Group), a solutions provider that helps marketers make data actionable. Prior to Annalect, Ripmaster was senior vice president of strategic accounts at Neustar, Inc., where she oversaw strategic accounts and was charged with growing revenue for Omnicom Media Group. Under her leadership, the team achieved 117% of its sales goal in 2015.
Before Neustar, Ripmaster was the senior vice president of global sales at PointRoll, where she drove and managed a $90 million quota. Her oversight included leading and managing agency sales, advertiser direct sales, publisher sales, as well as business development. Previously, she was the vice president of major account sales. In that role, Ripmaster successfully grew the automotive vertical from $200K to $20M in three years.
Ripmaster has also held sales and marketing positions at Ortho-McNeil Neurologics, a division of Johnson and Johnson, CitySpree.com, and Galyan’s Trading Company.
Ripmaster holds a bachelor's degree in Advertising from Michigan State University.
