The Weather Company, an IBM Business, announced today that Mary Glackin will assume responsibility of all its science and forecast operations, which includes its global forecasting services, global forecast center and meteorological operations. Mary will also continue to serve in her previous role as senior vice president of public-private partnerships.
Mary is ideally suited for this combined role given her prior experience with NOAA, including serving as their deputy under Secretary for Operations for five years. She is a Fellow of both the AMS and the National Academy of Public Administration, as well as a member of the National Weather Association and of the American Geophysical Union.
