Weather Underground Android Update Presents New Design & Features

Welcome to the new WU! We’re thrilled to share that we’ve released a major update to our Android app. Here’s what’s WUnderful about it:

  • We’ve remodeled the app like we inherited our grandmother’s house. Don’t worry, we kept the treasured heirlooms, but we threw out the corduroy sofa from 1953.

  • Say “hello” to Material Design – besides its alluring good looks, it has also improved legibility and scrolling capability. Even your mom will say it’s a keeper.

  • We’ve added the navigation drawer. Open the drawer to switch quickly between locations, manage and nickname your favorites, and look wistfully at the weather in the Bahamas.

  • You used to be limited to one station per city, but we know that it’s hard to find “The One” these days. Now you can view and select any of our 180,000 personal weather stations across the globe within the “Refine” map.

  • For the globetrotter: now check your forecasts, current conditions and other weather information in 25 different languages.

  • We’ve also added a new hurricane tile, because not all weather is nice.

To top it all off, it’s free to download in the Google Play Store. Check it out today!
