“Prospectors” and “Highway thru Hell” Return to The Weather Channel with Season Premieres on Dec. 6

“Search for the Gem” Marathon Allows Viewers to Catch Up on Previous Seasons of “Prospectors” All Weekend Long Beginning Saturday, Dec. 5

WHAT:  Reconnect with your favorite characters from “Prospectors” and “Highway thru Hell” as they brave the elements and face new challenges in the season four premieres Sunday, Dec. 6 on The Weather Channel.
The Prospectors are back risking life and limb up at high elevations and, this time, underground for their next big pay day. So far, the Prospectors have risked their lives to dig out over a million dollars in gems and minerals, and in season 4, there’s still much more to be found. However the unpredictability of Mother Nature stands in their way.
Once you’ve experience the highs and lows of digging for riches, follow the dangerous and thrilling escapades of heavy rescue operators on “Highway thru Hell.” Building on last season’s risky gamble to expand his Heavy Recovery operation from the British Columbia mountains into the frozen Alberta north, Jamie Davis is tackling new highways and facing bigger wrecks than ever before.

The Prospectors are back for a fourth season with familiar and new characters, an embarrassment of riches and wild, unpredictable weather. At 14,000 feet above sea level, there’s 50% less oxygen, twice as many lightning strikes, hurricane force winds and riches just waiting to be found. “Prospectors” is produced by High Noon Entertainment (“Fixer Upper,” “Cake Boss”).
“Highway thru Hell”
“Highway Thru Hell” is ultimately a series about man versus Mother Nature, and the toughest men in the towing business being pushed to their breaking point. The stakes are high - lives, the economy and thousands of jobs depend on the highways staying open.  And the last line of defense is Heavy Rescue.
