The Weather Channel Names Keith Pardy Chief Marketing Officer

The Weather Channel Companies (TWCC) today announced Keith Pardy has joined the company as chief marketing officer. Pardy will oversee all aspects of brand strategy, brand identity, consumer and partnership marketing for TWCC.  This will include seeking new and diverse revenue opportunities and overseeing the development and execution of consumer engagement strategies across all TWCC platforms including The Weather Channel, online and on mobile and on The Weather Channel's category leading mobile and tablet applications. Pardy will report to Jennifer Dangar, executive vice president of distribution, business development and marketing for TWCC.

"Keith is a proven leader with more than 25 years of experience in global brand development and marketing," said Dangar. "He will make a great addition to our team as he works to evolve our brand vision, create a strategic roadmap and support our long-term initiatives in the evolving media space."

Pardy recently served as chief marketing officer at Research In Motion (RIM) overseeing all marketing functions including brand strategy, consumer and customer insights, digital marketing and sponsorships and events.  Prior to RIM, Pardy spent four years at the Nokia Corporation where he held multiple roles, ultimately becoming senior vice president of strategic marketing and customer insights. Pardy began his career at The Coca-Cola Company where he spent 17 years - in Atlanta, Moscow, Sweden, Madrid and London - holding roles of increasing responsibility including vice president-managing director, global brands.

A native of Canada, Pardy has a master's degree in business administration from Florida State University and a bachelor of commerce from Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. He is also a graduate of the Kellogg Graduate School of Management Executive Program. Pardy and his family live in Atlanta where he will be based at TWCC's headquarters.
