The Weather Channel companies (TWCC)today announced Jennifer Anderson Gragg has joined the company as vice president of brand strategy and marketing. In this role, Anderson Gragg will be responsible for leading the development of brand strategy and product marketing across its platforms including The Weather Channel television network and digital properties, such as weather.com online and on mobile and apps on smartphones and tablets. Anderson Gragg will report to Keith Pardy, chief marketing officer for TWCC.
"Jennifer comes to TWCC with a track record of building successful entertainment brands across the television and digital landscape," said Pardy. "She is a highly strategic, creative marketer who will make great contributions to our business."
Jennifer most recently served as vice president of brand strategy at Turner Sports, where she oversaw ongoing research, insights, strategy and brand needs for Turner Sports properties including multi-platform NBA, NCAA, , MLB, NASCAR and golf businesses. Previously, Anderson Gragg held positions as vice president of property development, marketing and programming and director of property development, marketing at Turner Sports.
Anderson Gragg began her career at Turner Network Television (TNT) where she spent nine years, holding roles of increasing responsibility including both director of entertainment marketing and director of marketing, original and acquired movies. In both roles, she successfully led the marketing team charged with developing and executing marketing campaigns to support entertainment programming, with a focus on multi-stage campaign building..
A native of Virginia, Anderson Gragg received her bachelor's degree in business administration with a concentration in marketing from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA. She was selected as one of Advertising Age's Top 20 advertising executives under the age of 30 and has won multiple industry awards for marketing campaigns. Anderson Gragg is a member of the American Marketing Association, Cable & Telecommunications Association for Marketing, and Women in Cable Telecommunications. She will be based at TWCC headquarters in Atlanta.
