TWCC leads in Advertiser Satisfaction / Mobile category
The Weather Channel Companies (TWCC)has received the Advertiser Perceptions "Highest Rated Media Brand" award in the Advertiser Satisfaction / Mobile category.
Advertiser Perceptions (http://www.advertiserperceptions.com/), a leader in research-based advertiser insight, announced the winners of its 2011 Advertiser Perceptions Highest Rated Media Brand Awards today. Awards were determined based on what advertisers think regarding brand perceptions and overall satisfaction.
"Advertising in the mobile and tablet landscape can be a complex and cumbersome process, so we've adopted the mantra ‘Mobile Made Easy,' and we truly strive for that with each of our clients. This award is a truly gratifying affirmation that we're achieving our mission," said Beth Lawrence, executive vice president, ad sales and media solutions for The Weather Channel Companies.
TWCC is an innovator in mobile advertising, creating and enhancing new products to better target by weather, location and segmentation to its unduplicated, cross-platform monthly audience of 163 million unique visitors. The Weather Channel was also named a top cross-platform player in 2011 by the Jack Myers Survey and named the No. 1 media television-TV news brand by the 2011 Harris Poll. A mobile leader, TWCC reaches 32 million mobile consumers monthly through weather.com on mobile Web and mobile apps and is the second most popular app on all smartphones (after only Facebook).
Every spring and fall, Advertiser Perceptions surveys thousands of leading advertisers in the United States to gather their opinions and perceptions of the media brands they are considering advertising with in the upcoming six months. Through the release of the Advertiser Intelligence Reports (AIR), these advertiser opinions provide the basis for insight-metrics used to gauge media brand and company performance. Media brands that rank highest for each insight-metric and that possess a minimum required level of advertiser consideration are selected as the highest rated media brands.
This year's Highest Rated Media Brand Awards are based on the average of AIR Waves 15 and 16 ratings (Spring and Fall 2011) by medium for the following insight-metrics: Brand Strength, Sales Knowledge, Customer Service, and Advertiser Satisfaction.
