The Weather Channel Companies (TWCC) today announced that Bill Drolet has been named vice president, digital ad sales. In this role, Drolet will be responsible for managing and developing advertising and business opportunities for weather.comin the New York region. He will lead and develop a team of account managers within the territory and will be based in New York. Drolet will report to Sheila Buckley, senior vice president, digital ad sales, TWCC.

Before joining The Weather Channel, Drolet spent two years at Time Inc., where he served as vice president, sales - digital lifestyle group. There, he managed a national sales and marketing team, and led lifestyle brands such as Real Simple, Cooking Light and MyRecipes through app development, distribution and monetization.
Prior to joining Time Inc., he worked for online publishing startup Waterfront Media as vice president, sales - health & lifestyle, leading the team that represented flagship brands Everyday Health, the number one health website globally; the award-winning South Beach Diet; and WhatToExpect.com.
Previously, Drolet held sales roles at Yahoo!, Life Med Media (dLife), AccentHealth-CNN TV, and Comcast Spectacor (Comcast SportsNet).
Drolet received a bachelor's degree in communications and advertising from Marist College in Poughkeepsie, NY.
