Head of Corporate Communications, The Weather Company
As head of corporate communications at The Weather Company, an IBM Business, Maureen Marshall leads all external and internal communications for the company, which includes the business solutions division and consumer brands, The Weather Channel (weather.com) and Weather Underground (wunderground.com). She serves as the chief spokesperson, and as part of her oversight, Maureen develops and drives the external messaging strategy for the company.
Marshall joined Weather in 2011 as director of communications, where she supported a number of the company’s divisions including ad sales, original programming, live programming, and marketing, among others. She was also responsible for elevating the visibility of the company’s executives and network talent. In that role, she launched the cable network’s first full slate of original programming, which averaged one new series per month. She was named to Weather's Growth & Development Council in 2013, and received the company's Leadership Award in 2013.
Prior to Weather, Marshall held roles at Turner Broadcasting, Warner Bros., Disney/ABC Cable Networks, and E! Networks. She earned her bachelor’s degree in communications from the University of Michigan.
